Enjoy tea with the five senses, at our cafe produced by an old-established tea shop from Kyoto.

Mr. Shimbei Hayashiya, the first generation, opened the first tea shop [Hayashiya] in Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture. The third generation Mr. Shimbei made Uji Tea renowned. Our cafe is produced by this tea shop, using matcha only from Uji, and sweet been paste for desserts from Kyoto. Other ingredients for desserts, such as gelatin, rice-flour dumpling, agar, and ice cream are all hand-made to create perfect tasting menus. As our concept [to serve tea to be enjoyed with the five senses] shows, we offer more than 20 different tea leaves, including various gyokuro (refined green tea), matcha, and hoji-cha (stem tea) with different aromas and appearances. We also arrange our interior with an awareness of our tea and our cafe menu, so that the guests can fully enjoy tea with the five senses in a relaxing Japanese-modern space.   Mr. Shimbei Hayashiya, the first generation, opened the first tea shop [Hayashiya] in Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture.
