Try our Hotaruika Ichiyaboshi no Ishiyaki (grilled salted firefly squid) which goes great with sake. Once you bite it you will want Japaese sake naturally.

Our firefly squid is salted and dried overnight, then grilled on a hot stone to perfection. The bitterness of the squid meets the sourness of the lemon seasoning, in a dish that goes great with sake (rice wine). In season, we order 100 squid a day, which are all carefully salted and dried individually by our team of chefs, so you can enjoy them any time of the year. Our head chef visits the fishermen personally to select the fish to be delivered directly to the restaurant. Seasonal catches are put into a fish tank for a day before preparing them, in order to preserve their high quality meat. Our chef believes it is his duty to respect the quality ingredients used, and serves them without any unnecessary additives in order to preserve their true flavors. So come and enjoy full-course meals based on seasonal fish in a fine eating environment. Satonoie Hanase is located in the business district of Osaka city, making it a perfect stop for a date or reception after work. We also offer private rooms, so be sure to make a reservation in advance. Our firefly squid is salted and dried overnight, then grilled on a hot stone to perfection.
