Experience the mysterious allure of “OItalian” (Oita Italian), born of a fusion of strong impressions of Sicily with Ofuna ingredients

Located a 10-minute walk from JR Oita station. Osteria Bucio’s central dish is the “Spaghetti Cartoccio”. Our owner, who moved to Oita from the city after falling in love with Oita’s wealth of ingredients, first encountered this dish in Sicily during his studies in Italy. This dish, which made a huge impression on him, is made by taking pasta heaped with seafood, wrapping it in paper, and baking it in the oven. The flavor begins to change starting from the moment the paper is opened, and keeps changing minute by minute to give it a depth of flavor. In order to allow people to experience the taste, he uses fresh seafood caught in Oita to recreate the dish here, creating the genre of OItalian (Oita Italian). “Bucio” means “hole” in the Romanesco dialect. Take a peek in and experience a different side of Oita. Located a 10-minute walk from JR Oita station. Osteria Bucio’s central dish is the “Spaghetti Cartoccio”.
