This stylish Japanese restaurant in Roppongi is a dream come true for foodies. It boldly uses ingredients such as abalone and raw sea urchin.

Syunsaigyo Ai was first located in Roppongi in 1996, before the likes of Midtown and Roppongi Hills even existed. The owner and sommelier, Koguchi, opened the restaurant with the aim of creating "a place where people can achieve happiness through food." He carefully stocks top-quality ingredients from across the country and creates his delicious dishes with the master chef via trial and error. Their impressive dishes are highly popular, including the steak made from a 500g abalone, as well as the eggplant overflowing with raw sea urchin. Koguchi takes care to ensure that all the dishes go amazingly well with both wine and sake (a type of Japanese alcohol). Many customers have visited this restaurant since it opened 20 years ago, with an increasing number of lone females choosing to dine here in recent years. Koguchi stated, "Like the staff - all hungry gourmet are highly welcomed! Reserve a day in advance to enjoy the hospitality and value for money of Syunsaigyo Ai!"
