where more than 2.46 million fallen soldiers are enshrined.

Area Map

Yasukuni Shrine
Yasukuni Shrine was constructed about a hundred years ago, enshrining war dead in the battles from the Meiji Restoration to WW2. If you are planning to visit Yasukuni Shrine, a cherry blossoms season will be the best season. In the precincts more than 600 Yoshino cherry trees have been planted, and many visitors gather at the season. At the war museum "Yushukan" next to the shrine, you can find many interesting materials and exhibits including a real zero fighter plane. The museum shop offers you many original goods only available here including the fighter feeding (rations). It is a must-visit facility if you are coming to the shrine.
