Kurokawa Hot Spring

Hot spring resort where the time flows slowly - one of the most popular hot spring resorts in Japan.

Area Map

Kurokawa Hot Spring
At the Kurokawa hot spring district, the area as a whole is called “Kurokawa-ichi Inn,” streets “corridors,” and each inn "room." The district is to the north of Mt. Also, in a deep mountainous area. The townscape is full of romantic ambience, and 29 traditional Japanese style inns will welcome you. You can experience a variety of hot springs including an open air hot spring along a clear stream, a hot spring the color of which changes from milky white to blue to transparent, and a relaxing hot spring under a star-filled sky. If you like to try more than one hot spring, we recommend you to buy a Nyuto Tegata, a hot spring passport. Of course the local dishes are highly recommended, too. You can put on a yukata, an informal cotton kimono, prepared by each inn and stroll around the area. You can enjoy the relaxing country scenery. Also, the district is full of restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops.
