Sankiro, a three-story wooden building built in 1931, is one of the most significant historical structures in Kyushu. It used to operate as a high-cla read moress Japanese restaurant. The 5-meter-high stone wall makes a striking impression, captivating all the visitors. Now, Sankiro Saryo KAITO is a popular dining destination housed in the historic Sankiro building. Under the direct management of a fugu wholesaler, the restaurant offers fugu cuisine featuring the finest and professional techniques. The specialty "Fugu Sashimi" is an exquisite dish with a beautiful and delicate flavor, and the original "FUGU-BUTSU" is also popular. On the second floor, there is a large hall called the ''Hyakujyo-ma'', which has a stage, an alcove, and elaborate decorations on the ceiling and transoms. The intricate designs, such as the coffered and woven ceilings, are also noteworthy features. The stone pavement from the gate to the entrance has a charming atmosphere, evoking a sense of history and prestige.
