Handling of personal information

USEN CORPORATION (hereinafter known as “the Company”.) hereby gives notice as described herein regarding the usage purpose etc. of its customers’ personal information. Your consent is kindly requested before you make an application.

1. Acquisition・Storage and Use of personal information

Personal information provided by the customer shall be stored and used for the following purposes by the Company in its business activities.

  • Purpose of use
      1. To provide products and services for each business
      2. To provide notification of products and services for each business
      3. To reply inquiries on corporate PR activities, questionnaire surveys regarding the various businesses, monitoring surveys, and inquiries from customers
      4. To provide installation, repair, inspection, and after-market services for the service devices and equipment used in each business
      5. To provide improved products and services in each business to the customers
      6. To verify the user and so on for requests to play music in the broadcasting business
      7. To provide information related to restaurants, areas, music, movies, computers, etc., through the Internet
      8. To fulfil transactions and agreements with the customers smoothly and adequately among others
  • ※Personal information handled in work outsourcing shall be used only for the purpose of executing the outsourced work concerned. (This shall not be subject to disclosure.)
  • ※When requesting for materials and so on, the usage purpose corresponding to Point (2) (3) above shall be applied.
  • ※When giving notice or announcing the individual purpose of use, this shall be based on the purpose of use concerned.
  • ※Regarding personal information containing credit card information
    1. When providing credit card numbers to the card settlement agent for the purpose of collecting payments, notice of the purpose of use etc. will be given in the articles and rules stipulated by each service.
    2. As a card settlement agent for credit cards, the Company uses the settlement system of GMO Payment Gateway, Inc.
    3. After settlement of the service usage charge and other charges, credit card information will be stored as order information for a period that is mandated under each law and regulation.

Other usage purposes of personal information besides those mentioned above are as follows.

Storage of personal information

Personal information held by the Company shall continue to be retained by the Company, except for information that has been separately provided for (example: information provided in the application details for various campaigns etc.).

Use of personal information after termination of subscription

After the Company’s services are terminated, personal information provided by the customers and trading partners may be used within the range of the usage purposes defined in Point (2), (3) and (5).

Sharing of personal information

The Company may share the personal information obtained from the customer in a written or digital form with its subsidiaries and associate companies based on financial accounting rules, as well as distributors of merchandise handled in the various businesses mentioned above. The shared information includes the name, address, telephone number, date of birth and E-mail address of the customer. The purpose of sharing the information is for the usage purposes mentioned in Point (1)~(4) above as well as the provision of ancillary products and services. USEN CORPORATION shall be responsible for managing any personal information that is shared.

2. Protection of personal information

Essential and adequate measures will be taken to protect personal information held by the Company from being leaked, lost or damaged.

3. Provision of personal information to third parties

Personal information of customers such as the name, amount used, credit card number, account number, invoice for product and service charges etc., may be provided to financial institutions in a written or digital form for the purpose of collecting payment.

4. Request to stop the use of personal information etc.

The customer may request the Company to delete or stop the use of personal information related to itself, or to stop providing the information to third parties.

5. Outsourcing the handling of personal information

The Company may outsource the handling of personal information within the scope of the purpose of use as described in Para 1. Regarding the outsourcing, it will select only institutions which have established an appropriate system to handle personal information, and outsource the work only after it has concluded an agreement seeking the proper management of personal information.

6. Requests to disclose, amend personal information etc.

The customer may request the Company to disclose personal information related to itself. In addition, the customer may request that personal information of the customer held by the Company be corrected, deleted or added if there are any errors or amendments required.

7. Optional input items

Optional personal information may be provided in the application form and other documents. However, if such information is not provided, the Company may not be able to provide its products and services in an appropriate manner.

9. Procedure to disclose or stop the use of personal information etc.

Please send your inquiry to the Company’s Personal Information Helpdesk as given in Para 8 regarding requests to disclose or stop the use of personal information. However, requests can only be made personally by the subscriber. (Please consult the Company’s Contact for Personal Information Inquiries if you are unable to make the request yourself.)

Regarding the disclosure of personal information and personal information that can be disclosed, please note that only the name, address, telephone number, FAX number, mobile phone number, E-mail address, service subscription name, date of subscription, date of termination and customer service store (distributor) can be provided.

9-2. Personal identification document

Enclose a photocopy of a personal identification document stating your name and address that is issued by a public institution.

When the status such as the representation rights etc., and the authority of the individual cannot be verified for requests that are made by an agent other than the individual

When there is a risk of harming the life, body, assets and other rights and interests of the individual or a third party

When there is a risk of seriously impeding the proper execution of the Company’s work
