A 3-minute walk from Hakodate Station, here is a large seafood izakaya where you can enjoy an authentic fisherman's menu prepared by the owner, who used to be a fisherman. The "Atka Mackerel dried overnight," made using the traditional fisherman's drying method, is a masterpiece. Fish directly from the fishing port are killed in the restaurant, so the "live squid" swimming in the tank is so fresh that its legs are still moving when made into sashimi. At the counter, you can see "live squid" and other fresh seafood swimming that arrived that day.
