Attracted by Japanese food's colorful and artistic world, Mr. Wakamatsu entered the culinary world.
He was born in 1972 in Miyazaki. Attracted by the beauty and delicacy of Japanese food, he became a chef. After graduating from the culinary department of his high school, he began his career at a ryotei restaurant in Kyoto. Then, he moved to Osaka to further his training as a member of the Ozaki Shinmikai under Mr. Shigeru Ozaki, a leading figure in Japanese cuisine. He is currently the head chef at ISAGO. His dishes are prepared with the skill and exceptional taste he has cultivated until now.
