Hakata Hatanaka, a 5-minute walk from Hakata Station, offers Japanese Kaiseki meals using seasonal ingredients. The "Ara (saw-edged perch) Kaiseki" is available from September to January, the "Fugu (blowfish) Kaiseki" from December to March, and the "Seasonal Vegetables and Seafood Kaiseki," featuring seasonal vegetables and seafood, is available throughout the year. It also has an excellent selection of sake. You can enjoy "natsuzake" in summer, "hiyaoroshi" in autumn, and "shinshu" in the New Year, according to the ingredients and seasons. It is also great that it is possible to have individualized service if you tell the restaurant what ingredients you would like to eat when making a reservation. The restaurant, with eight completely private rooms, is a Japanese-style space filled with warm hospitality.
