Mr. Kuramochi works in Okinawa with a dedication to Japanese traditions.
Mr. Kuramochi was born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1981. He has loved cooking since he was a child and naturally set his sights on becoming a chef. After spending four years studying Japanese cuisine at a hotel in Yokohama, he further honed his skills at Japanese, fugu, and kappo restaurants in Tokyo. After marrying his Okinawan wife, he moved to Okinawa, gaining experience in crab dishes at a local Japanese restaurant while preparing to open his own restaurant. In December 2025, he opened Washun Nakano.
