Matsuyama city has prospered as a castle town and has a lot of sightseeing spots such as Matsuyama castle, Dogo hot spring, Sikido temple, and Bansuiso mansion. Matsuyama is also famous as the largest amusement center in Shikoku, providing a unique ambience of a historic but modern city. It’s a good idea to take the street car network which consists of five routes that surround the whole city. Its one-day pass costs only 400 JPY and takes you to many sightseeing spots like Matuyama castle or Dougo hot spring -- make your day.
