Suzuka City is known to as a Motor town and holds F-1 motor races at the Suzuka Circuit. Motopia, an amusement park in the circuit, draws many motor fans. In Suzuka, a new attempt of Machikado Museum, or Street Corners Museum, is becoming popular. Unlike other ordinary museums, you can visit local people’s workplaces and private homes that are open to the public as a “museum,” to take a look at traditional craftworks and handmade manufacturing techniques as well as their proud collections. Presently, twenty such spots are on public display. Tsubaki Dai Shrine is also a recommended sightseeing spot for its historic value.
