Iriomote Island

The Island with subtropical jungle and untouched nature.

Area Map

Iriomote Island
Majority of the island is covered by untouched jungle. It is truly a treasure of nature and designated as a national park. Many endangered animals inhabit on the island, such as Iriomote wildcats, Iriomote wildboas, and yellow-marginated box turtle. Going through the mangrove trees you can see spectacular waterfalls, Mariyudu, Kampire, Pinaisara. The trail goes through the jungle and reaches to the other side of the beach though, nice beaches are everywhere in a walking distance. Hoshizuna-no-hama Beach, Tukigahama Beach, and Southerly Kenda Beach represent beautiful beaches with wonderful coral sceneries. Come and enjoy a great time here.
