Area Map
Sannai Maruyama Archaeological Site is a colony remain of the Jomon period (5,500 - 4,000 years ago), and the excavation and inspection are still being made. The site is open for visitors throughout the year for free. At the Sanmaru Museum you can learn the archaeological site comprehensively through as many as 1,700 excavations, hands-on workshops, and the reconstruction of the entire site. The restaurant offers special dishes cooked with ingredients that were used in the Jomon period. Why don’t you try the taste the Jomon people enjoyed thousands of years ago?
