Sea fireflies’ observation

Umibotaru, or sea firefly, is a small, 2-3 mm shrimp. It is usually found in the sand at the bottom of the sea, but it actively swims and moves around in warm summer nights with a mysterious bluish white glow, making the dark beach fantastically beautiful.
You need nothing to prepare to watch the sea fireflies. Just ask the hotel concierge for the observation points, go and see them, in casual clothing. You can scoop them out from the water and see by your own eyes that they are discharging glittering fluid in your hand.
If the observation point is on the beach away from a residential area, you can see the sky full of shining stars. If you visit the Noto Island, you can experience a great and comfortable summer surrounded by the nature.
