Area Map

Miyako City is proud of its abundant nature with beautiful sceneries. Among them, Jyodogahama beach is the best spot in Miyako City to visit -- the combination of jagged white-rocks promontory, dark-blue sea and green Japanese red pines are breathtakingly beautiful throughout the year. Viewing this picturesque landscape from a sightseeing boat is highly recommended. Mt. Hayachine also has scenic beauties where alpine plants are abundant and white birch forests are spreading over the Kuzakai highland at a height of 700m above sea level and is designated as a Nature Conservation Area. True pleasure is in the night time, when you can enjoy local sake with delicious foods from the mountains and the sea.
