Area Map

Heiwadai Prefectural Park

Constructed on a 60-meter high hill, Heiwadai Prefectural Park is an urban park looking down the town area and the Sea of Hyuga. Colorful flowers planted on the lawn ground will welcome you, and make you relax. In the vast site, a variety of sightseeing spots are distributed including the Peace Tower which is the symbol of the park, Haniwa (clay image) park, and a pond. Haniwa park is a highly recommended spot among them - 400 replicas of ancient ceramic images which have been excavated from ruins all over Japan are deliberately placed on a fill in the shape of an ancient tomb. Each image is full of expression - just strolling in front of them will make you smile. From the rest house you can enjoy a panoramic view of Miyazaki City. You can also spend your time at a restaurant.
