Mr. Ode became a chef because of the joy he felt when his food was praised.
Mr. Ode was born in 1998 in Tokyo. When he was young, he was overjoyed at his father liking the food he made, exposing him to the pleasures of cooking. With his dream of someday working in the world of cuisine, he became a chef at 15 and began his training, working and polishing his skills at iron-griddle restaurants and seafood izakaya bars. He currently works at the Shinagawa branch of Kani Isshin, which opened September 1 2025.
