With artisan skill down through generations, Mr. Yanagawa continues to face the flames, exploring new ground in iron griddled cuisine.
Mr. Yanagawa was born in 1966 in Hyogo. Following in the footsteps of his father, who he greatly respected, he entered the world of Japanese cuisine when he was 18. At 21, he started working at an iron-griddle restaurant in Osaka's Kitashinchi district and became head chef at the young age of 27. Since then, he has held consecutive head chef positions at famous iron griddle restaurants in Osaka and Kobe and continually improved his steady skill and sense. He now works as the head chef at Steak House Ikuta where his commitment to cooking and sincere approach deliver blissful dishes to his guests.
