Casual Spanish seafood meets devoted Japanese seafood professionals
Our highly acclaimed sea urchin soup has been popular since El Pulpo first opened its doors, some 7 years ago. Our diners relish the flavour of sea urchin in this exquisite dish, said to have been inspired by a sea urchin soup the chef tasted in Spain. As seafood professionals, freshness and quality are a top priority. Our president, a great connoisseur, also makes sure we get the best products available. Every morning, he mails me photos of fish from Tsukiji market in Tokyo or fishing ports across the country. Looking at the fish helps me think up the day's dishes. Our restaurant is a true seafood restaurant with a casual atmosphere, known as a "Marisqueria." Our concern, first and foremost, is to serve delicious seafood. We also make sure to serve it with the most appropriate wine, striving to give our customers the most satisfying experience we can, both in atmosphere and taste. Our counter seats are much in demand, and almost always booked in advance, so it is highly recommended to make a reservation so you don't miss out. There are only two high stools available on a walk-in basis.
