An old-style tea house with classic Japanese charm and a photo-worthy menu.
This tea house makes use of a 100-year-old kominka (old Japanese house) that's registered as a cultural property and has the perfect atmosphere to match the small castle town of Inuyama. Sitting in the Japanese modern tea house, guests will feel like they've slipped back in time as they enjoy Inuyama's famous dengaku (grilled miso skewers), as well as sweets such as zenzai (sweet red bean paste) and shaved ice (summer-only). The food is not only delicious but also visually appealing, with a cute appearance that makes one feel happy just to look at it. Apparently, there are even some customers who travel from far away just to take pictures for their social media accounts. The owner, Mr. Kuze's efforts to boost the local economy extends to the tea house's use of local specialty products, including tea from Inuyama and locally-made pottery. This is a cozy spot loved by both travelers and locals alike.
