A culinary journey that began in a kitchen in a foreign land.

Mr. Yakumaru was born in 1975 in Hokkaido. When he had the chance to work overseas, he was given the role of a cook, which ignited his journey into the culinary world. After returning to Japan, he gained experience at local restaurants in Hokkaido, honing his skills while valuing learning on the job. In January 2025, he joined Korean Bar YOI and took on the role of head chef.
