Ozu, known as a “small Kyoto in Iyo (old name of Ehime),” is a historic town where samurai mansions and Red brick buildings of Meiji period exude quaint atmosphere. From June to September cormorant fishing, traditional fishing technique attracts many tourists. At Omoide Soko, or Memory storage, event on every Sunday, the old townscape about 60 years age is replicated in the middle of storehouses and holds an open-air market. Ozu castle is also a must-see attraction, which resurrected by the artisans with their traditional technique. Many materials are on display in the castle.
