Area Map

The house is built based on the animation film My Neighbor Totoro. Inside the shabby house is a faithfully reproduced life of the 1930’s just as it is set in the film. The house was built based on the construction method at the beginning of Showa-era (1925~1989), the construction materials that were not produced any more were procured from old, torn down houses. So you can feel the house set in the film with your senses of vision, smell, and touch.
Flowers are in full bloom in spring, and you can find dried persimmons hung under the overhang of the roof in fall. The external appearance is changed by season, so you can enjoy the site every time you visit.
You have 30 minutes to enjoy the experience before the next visitor’s turn. Tickets sold on the day sell out very quickly, so you’d better to buy one in advance.
