The Museum Meiji-Mura

Meiji-Mura is an outdoor Museum where more than 60 buildings including a church, a school and a bank have been moved, exhibited and maintained in a large area. Many of them are valuable historic buildings which were built in the Meiji Period more than 100 years ago, and some of them have been designated as National Important Cultural Properties. Just visiting around the historic buildings is an interesting experience, but one, strongly recommended attraction is the "Haikara Ishokan (Smart Costume House)." At the house, you can change your clothing to your favorite Meiji costume and take pictures, so it will be an interesting memento of you visit. Also you can enjoy the Meiji Period gourmet at restaurants and tearooms so you can spend a precious time for all the day.
