Together with Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Narita Airport is the doorway to the world. In addition to its role as an international airport, now it is an important hub airport for many LCCs (low-cost carriers) covering all over Japan from Hokkaido to Okinawa. In 2015 a new terminal dedicated to LCCs will open with a capsule hotel and a food court. Using the new terminal as the hub, you can fly to anywhere around Japan with a reasonable cost. Also, a low-cost shuttle bus service is available. The shuttle bus connects Narita Airport and Tokyo Station in about an hour. The fare is as low as 1,000 JPY.
