Area Map

Ohana was originally built as a home of the local feudal lord, the Tachibanas. Now it consists of a Western-style Seiyokan Annex, Japanese-style house, and beautiful gardens. In 18th century, the Japanese-style residence was built here. Then the age of samurai ended and new Meiji era started. Western-style buildings were newly built and the gardens were deliberately rearranged as a residence of Count Tachibana. So the buildings and the landscape of Ohana show you the dramatically changed history of Japan.
After the World War II, Ohana was reborn again. The facilities were transformed to Japanese-style restaurant and hotel. Now Ohana is open for everybody to visit and spend a luxurious time here. It is also playing an important role to convey the history of feudal lord culture to this day.
