Actually, there is no building called “Rin-noji" temple. “Rin-noji” temple is a complex consisting of multiple halls including Sanbutsu-do, Taiyu-in, Jigen-do, Jogyo-do, Chuzen-ji, Gomaten-do and Shihonryu-ji, and fifteen branch temples. The first building built is Shihonryu-ji temple that was built more than 1,200 years ago, and the temple has been designated as a World Heritage (Shines and Temples of Nikko). Now the main hall “Sanbutsu-do” has been under repair. The main hall is covered with a protective scaffolding, and it’s been equipped with a passageway so that visitors can observe the repairing works. The passageway will be removed when the repair is completed. Why don’t you take this rare opportunity?
