Shimanami Kaido is a series of bridges. The total extension is 59.4km, connecting Onomichi city of Hiroshima in Honshu and Imabari city of Ehime in Shikoku as well as the islands between them including Mukaishima, In-noshima, Ikuchijima, Omishima, Hakatajima, and Oshima, with 9 bridges. Each bridge consists of a road and a walkway, enabling people enjoy to cycle on the bridges. There are 14 cycling terminals where you can borrow a bicycle and return it to any station available. You can feel comfortable breeze with a great view from the 50 m height from the sea level. This is a dream road for cyclists, and seafood dishes on the route will add some flavor on your cycling trip.
