The umami of rice is the highlight. Crafted with care and deliciousness, because it's an everyday meal.
Located conveniently near Nijo Station, Odu Omusubi Cafe offers casual, elegant Kyoto-based food that highlights the natural flavors of its ingredients. The cafe takes pride in its rice balls made from Gonbei Rice Hinohikari, which have been awarded the top flavor ranking for six consecutive years. This selected rice is celebrated for its sweetness that intensifies with each bite and remains delicious even when cooled. The side dishes are also made using carefully chosen ingredients, with meticulous preparation to maximize their flavors. One of the most popular offerings is the Kyo no Tsuzumi Bento, a beautifully presented bento featuring tenderly cooked octopus and savory grilled fish, capturing the essence of the seasons. The "Fish Bento" and "Meat Platter Bento", which are limited to 10 servings per day, also offer a taste of the skill and attention to detail characteristic of Kyoto cuisine.
