Saitama

Saitama prefecture, adjacent to Tokyo, is commonly known as a satellite town of Tokyo but you can find many natural beauties and hot springs if you go to Chichibu area. With Chichibu Railway running steam locomotives and the Railway Museum in Saitama-city, the prefecture is well known among railway lovers. Though the prefecture is not facing the sea, it is a big producer of a variety of river fish like eels and catfish. At one of the biggest local events, Chichibu Night Festival, many people inside and outside the prefecture gather and enjoy the excitement.
