This restaurant offers hospitality with the taste of [Bincho] from the gateway of Nagoya for the guests from everywhere. Located in the ESCA Underground Shopping Center, specializing in unagi (eel) cuisine and sticking to Nagoya's specialty [hitsumabushi (chopped grilled eel on rice)]. As the restaurant's name shows, the chef uses [Binchotan (high-quality charcoal)] and grills eel slowly and perfectly for crisp skin and aroma with fluffy meat. The chef, who knows everything about charcoal and eel, cooks eel in different ways according to each condition. The restaurant also offers various takeout menus including hitsumbushi and unaju (grilled eel on rice), and [Stewed unagi bouzushi (Rod-Shaped Pressed Sushi)] which is the limited menu only available at ESCA branch. Using charcoals is rare in the underground shopping center. Enjoy the authentic hitsumabushi with grilled eel without steaming.
