Manpukudou is a quiet restaurant that charms customers with high food standards. The menu is only the owner's special course, and the dishes are renew read moreed monthly. Among the specialties, the famous "Bo Sushi (rod-shaped pressed sushi)" features mackerel, horse mackerel, and sometimes sweetfish with outstanding fat content. The "sea urchin with shells," a typical early summer dish that can be tasted as sashimi or appetizers, and other sea urchin-based delicacies are also excellent. There are 40 to 50 varieties of sake to match the food, and the sake containers also show a variety of attention to detail. The restaurant, where you need to take off your shoes, has sunken Kotatsu-type counter seats and also table seating.
