Recommendation.
Sashimi, sushi, nidako (simmered octopus), sudako (vinegared octopus) or sumisoae (eaten sliced, with a light vinegar miso sauce), and oden (hot pot) are most popular. Takoyaki: Snack originated in Osaka. Small baked balls (3-5 cm in diameter) made of flour batter contain chopped octopus.Akashiyaki: A local snack of Akashi-shi, Hyogo-ken. It is similar to takoyaki, but eggs, stock, and a mixture of rice flour and regular flour are added along with the octopus.
