Yubatake

The symbol of Kusatsu hot spring, continuously gushing out steam.

Area Map

Yubatake
Yubatake is the core and the symbol of the nationally famous Kusatsu hot spring resort. You can stroll on the promenade installed around the facility, in the smell of sulphur. You can enjoy other facilities surrounding the Yubatake including Yukemuri-tei footbath, Netsnoyu where you can experience Yumomi, and many souvenir shops where you can buy Yunohana (precipitated and separated main ingredients of hot spring). Yubatake is not just a sightseeing spot. It is playing a very important role to supply hot water to the hot spring facilities in the area after cooling it down by exposing it to the atmosphere. The Yubatake is lighted up beautifully at night, giving a fantastic ambience of steam gushing up into the illuminated air.
