[SAKE COMPETITION 2019]—What was the Best Sake Produced This Year?

[SAKE COMPETITION 2019] is the one-and-only sake competition designed for the consumers. Japanese and foreign sakes out of 1,919 gathered to be awarded No.1 in each field. SAVOR JAPAN will report to you on this event.

[SAKE COMPETITION 2019]—What was the Best Sake Produced This Year?
Established in 2012, [SAKE COMPETITION] started with a mission, “To present new criteria for the consumers, so that they can discover truly tasteful Japanese sake regardless of the brand.” Thus, all brands competed without their past recognition, only with taste.

This year, as was mentioned several times during the event, it was difficult to produce good sake. Therefore, the producers had more hardship compared to the other years, employing every bit of their techniques to produce great sake.

For each 7 categories, the award winners were invited to the stage and commented with strong passion. Award presenters also ardently commented on Japanese sake, with some claiming, "sake is a work of art."
