Yakitori, a traditional Japanese casual food. 5 idiosyncratic restaurants in Tokyo.

Yakitori is a simple dish with bite sized pieces of chicken skewered and grilled over an open flame, but it is the careful selection of ingredients, the amount of heat, and the grilling technique that make a restaurant's unique appeal so different. You can freely choose your favorite skewers, order a course that has been carefully planned, down to the order in which you eat it, or savor a menu in collaboration with Japanese cuisine. We have selected a variety of unique restaurants that are known for their excellence.

The restaurant has only 16 seats along a white wooden counter so that each guest can sit face-to-face with the chef. Miyashin is located on Ginza Corridor Street, a restaurant district under the elevated JR line, and is operated by a veteran chef with 50 years of experience. The right hand holding the skewer is always rotating to evenly warm the moisture in the meat, and the left hand holds a large fan to adjust the heat to the perfect level. They make one of the best skewers of Date Dori, with a flavor, elasticity, and confidence that rival those of French Bresse chicken.
