One dish that you must try when you visit Japan is yakiniku. Literally translated into "grilled meat", it refers to Japanese-style barbecue, with thinly cut slices of meat grilled over a stove.
However, unlike typical restaurants where the food is cooked by the restaurant staff, at yakiniku restaurants, you actually grill the meat yourself! We will introduce 13 delicious yakiniku restaurants in Osaka that are popular on gourmet sites.
1. Mangyu Nipponbashi (Nipponbashi)
The Nipponbashi area, like the nearby Namba district, is one of Osaka’s most famous shopping districts. With its countless anime and game shops, it is also the center of the so-called "otaku" subculture in Osaka. Located on these bustling streets, the Nipponbashi branch of Mangyu offers authentic charcoal-grilled yakiniku at a great price.
The top recommendation is their [Goka Course] (Luxury Course) - an all-you-can-eat course that lets you enjoy all 103 items on the menu, including delicious beef, pork, and chicken, as well as salads, soups, rice, and desserts. The course is available for 2 or more people, making it ideal for a date. In addition to table seats, the restaurant also has horigotatsu (sunken kotatsu table) that lets you stretch your legs freely, and private booths where you can enjoy their delicious yakiniku with a group of friends without worrying about disturbing the other customers.

While the sign might be comical, the owner of the restaurant is serious when it comes to meat.
The restaurant offers only the highest quality, select cuts of Japanese wagyu beef, such as the beautifully marbled Kagoshima beef. One dish that you must try is their [Jo Shio Tan]. The thick slices of salted beef tongue overflow your mouth with meat juices at every bite. The restaurant also offers [Shimacho] (large intestine) horumon.
