Located near Kōdōdai Park, arkua is a restaurant where the owner, who served as the sous chef at a Michelin one-star restaurant, adds his unique twist to traditional French cuisine and presents playful dishes using fresh local ingredients from Miyagi. The beautifully pink 'Roast Ezo Deer' is a dish full of the rich flavors of deer meat. The dish 'Wood-roasted Wild Boar, Red Wine Sauce, and Black Kidney Beans' is a delightful plate where the smokiness and richness of the meat can be experienced through the senses.
An open kitchen with a special wood-fired oven has been installed. At the counter seats, customers can enjoy their meals while watching the flames of the wood and being enveloped in the aroma and atmosphere. In one corner of the restaurant, there is a bakery and a coffee roastery. Located a 7-minute walk from Kitasiribanchi Station, Shozan is a French restaurant renovated from a sake brewery dating back to the Edo period. Customers can enjoy pairing the renowned sake from Katsuyama Shuzo, founded in 1688, with wines from around the world, along with seasonal course dishes. The 'Roast Beef of Sendai Beef,' cooked meticulously at low temperatures, allows diners to savor the deliciousness of locally sourced black-haired wagyu.
Shozan continues the tradition of the long-standing Shozankan beloved by the locals. The restaurant is renovated from the old brewery of Katsuyama Shuzo.
