This year's number one is Gaggan in Bangkok, named after the chef himself. It has risen two spots in the rankings since last year to reclaim the top position and has won this year's 'Asia's Best Restaurant Award'.
Having won the 'Asia's Best Restaurant Award' four times in the past, Gaggan relocated to a new location in late 2019, during which Chef Gaggan Anand announced a newly restructured culinary concept, marking yet another evolution. In 2023, it reappeared on the 'Asia's 50 Best Restaurants' list, steadily climbing the ranks thereafter, as the creativity and innovation of the dishes created by Anand were reevaluated, allowing it to triumphantly reclaim the top spot.

A total of nine restaurants from Japan ranked within the top 50.
Last year's winner of the 'Asia's Best 50 Restaurants 2024', [Sézanne], ranked 4th. Following closely, [NARISAWA] ranked 12th, [Florilège] ranked 17th, and [傳] ranked 22nd. The legendary sushi chef Koji Saito's [鮨 さいとう] made a comeback to the top 50 at 33rd place, while [茶禅華] ranked 34th.

One restaurant each from Osaka and Fukuoka made the rankings, with Osaka's [La Cime] at 8th place and Fukuoka's [Goh] at 36th place.

The "Asia's Best Pastry Chef Award" was presented to Chef Degi Keukacha of [Gaggan at Louis Vuitton] (31st place). Chef Keukacha has gained high acclaim for his skillful ability to modernize traditional desserts by blending familiar textures with unexpected flavors.
Located in Ubud, Bali, [Locavore NXT] received the "Sustainable Restaurant Award" and ranked 92nd in the 51-100 list. This restaurant, led by chefs Elke Plasmeijer and Ray Adriansyah, is known for its commitment to locally sourced, seasonal sustainable cuisine, seamlessly merging relentless research and experimentation into the dining experience.
Additionally, the late Margarita Forés, who won the "Asia's Best Female Chef Award 2016," received the "Woodford Reserve Icon Award" for her significant influence on the global gourmet scene and her contributions to elevating the status of the restaurant and hospitality industry in the Philippines.
