Perfect for Dates and Meeting Up With Friends! Restaurants Offering Glorious Views of Tokyo's Nightscape

Tokyo's Night Views, One of the City's Many Attractions

The skyscrapers of Shinjuku and Roppongi Hills offer seemingly futuristic views, while a stroll through Asakusa will let you enjoy the lights of Sensoji Temple seeping into the nighttime cityscape, and the nighttime view featuring Tokyo Station's brick structure is elegant and refined.
Public facilities, such as government offices, host some relatively unknown observation decks. Apart from the fact that they are free of charge, they are also often less crowded than the more famous observation decks. The observation lounges at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and the Bunkyo Civic Center are particularly recommended for the nostalgia that you are bound to feel when you gaze out into the nightscape below.

The Higher You Go, the More Exciting It Gets!

There is no question that nightscapes will always be beautiful, no matter where you view them from. However, many people believe that the sense of extraordinariness and exaltation grows the higher you go to admire the night view. Apparently, some people even experience being more imaginative or talkative than usual when they look at the nighttime scenery spreading under their eyes. It just might be the reason why high-rise restaurants with beautiful night views are perfect for dates, proposals, and other important occasions.
Light also gives people a sense of security and a feeling of freedom, so marveling at the sparkling nightscape is highly recommended for modern people leading very busy lives. While most people relax by escaping reality through travel, adding the experience of admiring the night view to the mix will surely help you feel more at ease.
The Colors of Nightscapes Can Have Different Psychological Effects!

Did you know that the colors of nightscapes can have different psychological effects on people?
Orange and other warm colors boost the sense of elation and enthusiasm of a person looking at the view. Vivid red is said to stimulate adrenaline and evoke excitement, so it is recommended for people who want a burst of energy when they see the nightscape. Meanwhile, yellow and champagne gold lights give a sense of spiritual fulfillment. Gazing at the soft, shimmering lights will put your mind at ease.

Talking about these fun facts while admiring the nighttime scenery should heighten the experience as well.
