Hatsuhana Shinkan is a branch of a popular well-known soba restaurant in Hakone. Similar to the main branch, which has people lining up for days, Hatsuhana Shinkan also serves Japanese yam soba made from soba flour, Japanese yam, and eggs. Although their specialty is their superb dish made with Japanese yam, their [Tempura] fried in the fragrant sesame oil and shirashimeyu (refined oil) is also recommended. They also serve [Solo Tempura], which features a fluffy shrimp and crunchy breading, and the lavish [Tempura Soba], which can be combined with their specialty Japanese yam soba. This unique dish is topped with tororo (grated yam) that was prepared with the rich-tasting inaka-miso (barley miso) of Hida Takayama.
