Yamahiko Zushi is famous for its local fish, selected by a fishmonger with a 70-year history. The head chef has been making sushi for 35 years. All the ingredients are fantastic, but the nigiri sushi (hand-formed sushi) that uses local fish caught just that morning is outstanding! In addition, the lunch-only [Kaisen-don] (rice bowl dish of seafood) is a must-try. The [Grilled Tuna Collar] that is slowly cooked at 180°C is also recommended. The restaurant is also particular about its sake, and offers 11 different brands that go perfectly with the fresh, local fish procured from around the country, including [Ryu] and [Tanzawasan].
