Immerse Yourself in the Enchanting World of teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM - Where Digital Art Blends Seamlessly With Water and Flowers!

What Is teamLab?

As of July 2023, you can witness its magic in nine places across Japan: Tokyo, Saitama, Akita, Osaka, Tokushima, Fukui, Fukuoka, Saga, and Oita. Seeing the exhibits in each location will no doubt add a lot of fun to your Japan trip!
What Is teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM?

One of its most notable features is that visitors will experience the exhibition barefoot! It comprises four expansive art spaces and two breathtaking gardens, as well as a unique area where visitors can stroll through water while admiring the artwork.
The pathways between these masterpieces are adorned by a variety of colors and enchanting scents, along with different flooring textures, facilitating an ever-changing sensory experience. This journey through darkness heightens your physical senses, engulfing you in a hypnotic world of art.

teamLab will also appear at Azabudai Hills, a new attraction in Tokyo currently under construction as of 2023. MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM: EPSON teamLab Borderless, which was originally located in Odaiba and closed on August 31, 2022, will relocate and open here.
At the new facility, visitors will be able to enjoy exhibits that further expand the teamLab Borderless concept of wandering, exploring, and discovering in one borderless world. Needless to say, there is much anticipation for this new project!
Highlights of teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM

Here you'll walk through the water between gracefully swimming carp. The presence of people and the movements of the carp influence each other, forming a mesmerizing dance. When the carp bump against visitors, they transform into blooming flowers, adding to the spectacle. The flowers match the seasons, ensuring a dynamic and ever-changing display.
This magical artwork is rendered in real-time by a computer program and is in constant transformation, making every encounter a unique and special moment.

As you step into the mirrored floor space, the flowers will react to your presence, gracefully rising and gently falling when you depart. Walking among these blossoms will envelop you in the harmonious and ethereal beauty of nature.
How to Make the Most of the Exhibition

First and foremost, consider your attire. If you wear long pants or skirts, there's a chance of them getting wet when entering the water-themed spaces. Additionally, be aware that some areas have mirrored floors, which might be a concern with skirts. However, there's no need to worry too much, as you can borrow complimentary shorts before entering the exhibition. Both adult and children's sizes are available, and you can put them on in the changing rooms.
Photography enthusiasts are welcome to take pictures inside the venue, so feel free to snap away to make your social media shine. You can bring in your camera or smartphone, but please refrain from using flash photography or additional lighting, as the artworks rely on delicate lighting effects. The use of selfie sticks and tripods is also not permitted. For peace of mind in dimly lit areas, consider attaching a strap to hang your phone around your neck.
