Yoyogi Kaikan: The Model for the Abandoned Building in Yoyogi

The building depicted with Hina climbing up the worn-out exterior staircase is the "Yoyogi Kaikan," located adjacent to JR Yoyogi Station. This building, with its impressively deteriorated exterior and rusted, brownish handrails that seem about to peel off, was the very abandoned building in "Weathering with You." However, unfortunately, due to the building's aging, it has been demolished and is no longer visible.

Kushiyaki: Torishige

Established in 1949, pork offal was the typical choice for yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). At that time, not only chicken but any skewers had been called “yakitori”. Since then, this establishment has continued to provide diligently prepared motsuyaki (grilled offal skewers) with a focus on freshness and has now become a renowned traditional yakitori restaurant in Tokyo. While still preserving the classic motsuyaki, they have also ventured into developing new menu items such as Wagyu sirloin. They source approximately 25 whole pigs daily to ensure freshness. As a result, they also offer a wide selection of rare skewers.

Established in 1938, it is the Shinjuku branch of a sushi restaurant that originated on Sushiya Street in Otaru, Hokkaido. They directly airlift approximately 70% of their ingredients from their own fresh fish store in Hokkaido, allowing you to indulge in plenty of Otaru's seafood in the form of sushi and sashimi. Asahi Inari Shrine: The Shrine where Hina receives the power of a "sunshine girl" by praying and passing through the torii gate in the early stages of the story. However, in reality, only the rooftop portion is said to be modeled after Asahi Inari Shrine. Ome Kaido Overbridge, a place where Kimura ( the scout man) got caught in between as he was being chased by two policemen.

"Ome Kaido Overbridge" is located just north of JR Shinjuku Station, where the elevated tracks of the JR lines intersect with Ome Kaido and Yasukuni-dori. Policemen Yasui and Takai, who are following the incidents occurring in Tokyo, were gathering information from witnesses in the alleyway next to the bridge. In the background, you can see typical Shinjuku landmarks such as the "Docomo Tower," "NEWoMan Shinjuku," and "JR Shinjuku Miraina Tower," adding to the distinctive scenery of Shinjuku.

Established in 1975 in Tokyo's Okachimachi district, Yakiniku Motoyama has been dedicated to serving premium Japanese beef. In 2010, they opened their branch, "Yakiniku Motoyama" in Shinjuku. The barbecued meats, including kalbi and pork belly, exclusively feature Kobe beef. The visually striking sloping hill that you frequently see in commercials and promotional videos is based on "Nozokizaka" located in Takada, Toshima Ward, Tokyo. The name "Nozokizaka" comes from the fact that you need to peek down the slope to see what's below when viewing it from the top. It is famous as one of the steepest slopes in Tokyo. The "Weather Shrine," the only shrine in Japan where blessings for good weather are granted, is located within the premises of Hikawa Shrine in Kōenji, Suginami Ward, near the south exit of Kōenji Station. It became famous for its prayers for success in the meteorologist certification exam, but gained even more popularity as a sacred place after the success of a movie. While the ceiling painting of a dragon depicted in the movie does not actually exist, items such as "ema (votive plaques) in the shape of geta (Japanese wooden sandals)" mentioned in the film are indeed available for sale.

Tonkatsu: Narikura

The tonkatsu at Narikura, which is now acclaimed as the best in Tokyo, is a culinary delight. The meat, coated in light and fluffy fresh bread crumbs, is carefully fried in extremely low-temperature oil for about 15 minutes without ever letting the attention waver. Once it is finally removed from the oil, it undergoes residual heat to ensure the core is cooked through.
