A super popular restaurant specializing in khao man gai (chicken rice) in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, has opened in Japan under the name "Kaithong"! Their superb [Khao Man Gai] (800 JPY) is a simple dish with a surprisingly rich flavor.  The chicken meat placed on top of tasty jasmine rice cooked in chicken soup is super tender and moist. You eat it together with an original sauce made from black vinegar miso and fermented soy sauce. It comes with soup, and you're free to spice up with coriander as much as you like. Don't go too late, or you'll risk finding it closed because they ran out of ingredients!

This restaurant made it to the Thai Select, a list of restaurants recognized by the Thai Ministry of Commerce. The Shibuya Higashi-guchi branch is super easy to access, as it is right next to Hikarie. It is very particular about its ingredients, importing vegetables and herbs all the way from Thailand and procuring other ingredients from domestic contract farmers. This is a great option if you want to enjoy [Fresh Spring Rolls] (810 JPY), voluminous and filled with lots of shrimp, and other reasonably-priced reproductions of Thai street food. While you're at it, don't forget to order one of the patissier's handmade sweets - they say they have even offered to the Thai royal family!
