7. Shiroya Ippin Dori Branch
Located on Ippin Street (Ippin-dori), Shiroya is a long-established bakery. Their desserts are so delicious that lines of people wait just for a bite! 8. Hakata no Ishidatami
Hakata no Ishidatami is the first chocolate shop in Hakata to produce and sell chocolate truffles. Their truffles are made by hand, blending various chocolates from around the world to suit the Japanese taste. They also have other types of confectioneries like nama-gashi (unbaked cakes using fresh ingredients) and han-nama-gashi (baked cakes with icing). 9. Hakata Hinanoyaki Canal City Hakata Branch
Hakata Hinanoyaki is managed by a 100-year-old store called "Yoshino-do", which sells a famous Japanese confectionery called "Hiyoko". [Hakata Hinano-yaki] are kaiten manju (Japanese dessert of batter cooked in a special pan and filled with sweet ingredients) that use red and white bean pastes, as well as custard, as fillings. It is the same as Imagawa-yaki and oban-yaki, which are available all across the country. The one with vanilla and smooth custard is a best-seller. If you want to take a break from strolling or shopping, these cute, chick-shaped hinano-yaki may be a perfect treat!
